My Funny Porch
I was looking at the pictures and thought I would explain why my front porch is striped! We are putting stone there, and though we have the stone, we did not have the time before the weather turned cold to get it done. I also plan to stain the doors a dark color to match the peaks of the house more. A dear friend got/made the wreaths for me which makes it look so much more like a completed house to me. There were so many decisions to make and the siding was one of the worst for me. We wanted something a little different in the front, actually we wanted to completely stone the front, but that was a bit expensive, so we ended up this way. It will help when the yard gets done and we can do some landscaping as well. But for now he snow still continues to fall so I will not worry about what is underneath! Have a Happy New Year!

Winter Wonderland

Well, we had a green rainy Christmas, but it has since made up for it. The snow started Sunday night and keeps coming. It is supposed to taper off tonight and Wednesday looks clear, but until then Sam will be more than busy. And with the wind it is hard to keep anything clean. He hasn't even plowed my side of the garage since I have no plans of going anywhere with the van. He did get my garage door openner installed Sunday so my van is happily tucked away in the garage. YEAH! I moved a few more things from the PO building yesterday and will work on more organizing in here. I am working on pulling things out of closets and putting them where they belong. That was the problem with our gradual move-in. Having so little room in the camper I started bringing things in the house before the places were ready for them, so not only have I moved things from place to place as we worked, I have used any closet available for everything, not just it's intended use. For instance I am still clearing out my pantry so it can actually be just a pantry! So here are some pictures of outside so you can see all the snow. The big flakes come on and off and it is actually very pretty. Unfortunately it makes for a lot of work for Sam, so I will be more than happy when the snowing and blowing ends.

I can't figure this crazy thing out! Hit a button and everything posted before I finished! And I can't figure out how to edit!!! Ok, now I found the button, but the pictures are there and that is how it will stay for now!
Well anyway, we have had our 1st Christmas in the new house and it felt wonderful! The kids were so excited to run downstairs Christmas morning and Santa put a little something in all of the 3 stockings they each had hanging around the house. They took turns opening presents and seemed so grown up since we never heard one "that's not fair!" or anything of the sort. The house looks like a true Christmas morning and we are enjoying it for now and will clean up later. We had cake for Courtney with G and G Ring yesterday before Christmas eve service and today she woke up to a happy birthday sign and balloons in the hall. They all slept in Morgan's room last night since we wouldn't let them sleep in the living room under the tree (mean parents I know). So my tradition of decorating Courtney's room did not work out as planned. :-) We try to do whatever we can to keep her Christmas day birthday special. Anyway, they have been enjoying their things and Daddy is trying to get the game table put together for them so we can try that out. Tomorrow will be the family get together at our house the year and we should have about 30 people. So we truly break the house in then. Have a Merry Christmas!

Ok, It's not fancy, but there are at least some pictures to see! For some reason it takes forever to download pictures, so I will work harder later to make it nicer, but for now...there's pictures! There's Alexa's monkey room, Courtney's horse room and Morgan's Polka Dots. The kids have 2 trees upstairs and I get the downstairs! So enjoy the pictures and I will try to get a little more "together" at a later date. But at least it is easier than sending a bunch of e-mails!
